The small official numbers are rarely the real budget
Hypothetical example: the household budgets the filing amount and forgets everything around it. Build the list properly. Government amounts per the current G-1055 schedule for the route chosen, plus premium processing if the employer elects it.
Then certified copies of transcripts, any credential evaluation the employer or a state authority asks for, certification renewals in the designated field, and certified translations. Then the practical costs: travel to the port of entry, temporary accommodation, and the gap between leaving the Coalhurst position and the first American pay date. Ask the employer in writing which items it reimburses and on what schedule.
Check the current fee schedule rather than an amount quoted in an older summary, because these figures are revised.
