Write down what has to be certain before you move
Hypothetical example: the couple are told that terms will worsen shortly and that a place must be secured this week. Treat that as a sales position until an official source supports it. List the facts that must be certain first: what the payment buys, whether any of it is refundable, what happens to the spouse and children, what status results and what conditions attach to it.
Check the official page against that list today. If it does not answer them, the decision is not ready, and no amount of pressure changes that. Meanwhile, if the household's real objective involves working or operating a business in the United States, the established categories have known requirements and a long record of application, and comparing them properly takes weeks rather than years.
