Reassess the proposed duties and whether they still call for the knowledge described in the case. A material change in the assignment may affect the immigration analysis and required steps. Do not continue using an obsolete project narrative solely because preparation is nearly finished.
Obtain the revised project scope
Identify which knowledge remains relevant, what new skills would be required and the applicant’s actual role in the transition. Give the immigration reviewer the updated facts and case stage. The company’s internal approval of a different assignment is not itself US work authorization for that arrangement.
First review compares the current US assignment with the one described in the evidence and identifies whether a platform change alters the knowledge actually needed. The decisive record is the revised scope of work, approved project plan, and explanation from the responsible technical lead. Sequence the reassessment before travel or deployment, not after a new assignment has begun.
Reusing an obsolete narrative can leave the filing disconnected from reality. Hypothetical example: A Canadian robotics company shifts a transfer candidate from a warehouse-automation rollout to a laboratory testing project. The company should document which company-specific methods carry over, which tasks disappear, and whether the revised role still needs the knowledge presented.
